Tomato Green Sausage is a striking indeterminate (vining) variety with a compact, upright habit that stays more manageable than many vigorous vines. It produces elongated, sausage-shaped fruits with green skin streaked in yellow and dense, meaty flesh with very few seeds.

The flavour is distinctive and slightly herbal, holding beautifully during cooking. Highly productive and crack-resistant, this variety is excellent for roasting, grilling, sauces, and preserving, where its flavour deepens and concentrates. An excellent choice for gardeners looking for something unusual, reliable, and kitchen-focused.

Best grown in a greenhouse or polytunnel, or outdoors in a warm, sheltered spot with light support.

  • During tomato season, we eat tomatoes morning, noon, and night, as they bring us so much joy after months of nurturing. We eat them like sweets, in pasta dishes, or as part of a simple tomato salad with flaky sea salt.
