THE FUTURE
FAT TOMATO WILL BE A new KIND OF SPACE
A smallholding, a home for sharing, and a workshop & garden for dreaming in. A place where food lovers, gardeners, farmers, producers, chefs, artists, designers, writers, and other creatives can escape, breathe, and recharge. Here, youβll have time to pause, to dream, and most importantly - to grow, cook, and eat.
Rooted in a chef-driven garden, the space will be an edible forest of old and new Irish flavours, where you never know who you might meet, what you might taste, or what might unfold - bringing surprise and excitement to every stay.
Fat Tomato will also celebrate Irish craft and design, while reflecting Anthonyβs passion for travel through its landscape, architecture, and cultural influences.
The Plan
Anthony has been working on his dream home for years - researching, exploring, and collecting ideas, garden seeds, and beautiful craft pieces along the way.
As they say, Good Things Take Time
His journey began in 2016, when he started an edible garden behind his parentsβ home. What began with a polytunnel, a handful of seeds, and a compost heap grew into a chef-driven garden project, and part of a bigger plan to begin again.
Anthony has always dreamed of creating a space that celebrates his love of food, drink, travel, and designβa place where he can share his eclectic mix of old and new friends, family, colleagues, and anyone who crosses his path.
The search is well underway for a piece of land in the southeast - full of character - to become the new home of Fat Tomato.
