A bright, gently spiced chutney made with pears from our own garden and organic Spanish Cuello de Dama figs sourced through the CrowdFarming platform — a wonderful way to support small, often multi-generation Mediterranean farmers who grow organically and with great care.

We make this chutney with two varieties of pears from our hillside garden — Concorde and Williams’ Bon Chrétien — cooked slowly with Bramley apples, Radar onions, and our own heritage garlic. Warm, organic spices — Ceylon cinnamon, Guatemalan green cardamom, Indonesian nutmeg, and Mexican allspice — are added early in the pot, gently infusing the fruit as it softens, giving the chutney its fragrant depth.

Organic figs bring natural sweetness and body, while the juice and zest of Valencia oranges from our adopted trees in Spain add a lively citrus lift. Everything is balanced with our own heritage apple cider vinegar, organic Colombian raw cane sugar, Highbank Orchards’ organic apple syrup, and a pinch of Wexford sea salt.

Fruity, aromatic, and beautifully rounded, this chutney only improves with time. As it matures, the pears, figs, warm spices, and citrus settle into a mellow, complex depth. Enjoy it now, or let it rest in the pantry for an even richer flavour.

It pairs beautifully with aged cheddar such as Hegarty’s or Coolattin, and with Ireland’s wonderful blue cheeses, including Young Buck, Boyne Valley Blue, and Crozier Blue. It’s also excellent with terrines, charcuterie, roast pork, or festive ham, and brings a soft sweetness to sandwiches or baked brie.

Available as a 225g wide-neck glass jar for everyday use, or as a Gift Box, wrapped in our illustrated paper — inspired by the Wexford and Irish food story — and presented in our signature black box.

  • This chutney only gets better with age - the pears, figs, warm spices, and citrus settle into a beautifully rounded, mellow depth over time. Enjoy it now, or let it mature in the pantry for an even richer flavour.

Spoon it generously onto aged Irish cheddars such as Hegarty’s or Coolattin, or pair it with Ireland’s finest blue cheeses - Young Buck, Boyne Valley Blue, or Crozier Blue - where its gentle sweetness and spice shine through.

It’s excellent with terrines, pâtés, and charcuterie, adding brightness to cured meats and rich textures. Serve alongside roast pork or festive ham, or tuck it into winter sandwiches with cold cuts and sharp cheeses.

For something warm and indulgent, bake a wheel of Wicklow Farmhouse Brie until molten and crown it with a spoonful of chutney, or serve it beside hot sausage rolls for the perfect sweet–savoury finish.
