  • Very easy to grow. Sow in modular trays or directly in their final garden spot. Lightly cover with peat-free compost and keep moist during germination. If growing in trays, transplant when seedlings reach 5-10 cm tall. Can also be grown in pots.

    Sow: March to June

    Plant out: April to July

    Flowering: May to October

Check out our Grow & Cook section for more growing tips.

  • The fragrant petals have a peppery, citrusy flavour, making them ideal for salads, garnishes, sauces, or rice dishes—use sparingly, as they can be quite strong. Marigolds can also be used to make marigold-infused oils or vinegars or brewed into a soothing tea with honey and lemon for digestive support and relaxation.
